Turkeys spotted at Airport

Went for a lunch run today and saw those six turkeys at the Airport again.  I had Bella with me and she enjoyed the show.

Introducing Bella

Introducing Bella, our new dog.  She is one and a half years old, an English Setter-mix, and super nice.  The picture doesn’t do justice to just how gorgeous this dog is! We acquired her from my wife’s friend who had to find a new home for her due to a housing situation. You’ll be seeing lots of her around [...]

2010 Franklin County Fair

The family and I went to the Franklin County Fair today.  We had a fun time, but it was expensive.  I’ll be putting more pictures from the fair in both the gallery hosted here and on our Facebook page.

Utility Work on South Prospect Street, my trees trimmed

I came home from work today to find a few of my trees had been pruned by the power company’s contactors.  The tree in the middle had all its branches towards the street removed and the tree with the red leaves had a chunk cut out of it.  I was notified four months ago that [...]

Grilled Cheese BurgerMelt and Strawberry Shortcake Sundae from Friendly’s

I’ve heard Bax talk about these Grilled Cheese BurgerMelts from Friendly’s a few times and thought it was about time to try one.  Sorry, but it didn’t live up to the hype!  It was good, but nothing I’d order again. Grilled Cheese BurgerMelt:  A Big Beef burger between two hot grilled cheese sandwiches, with lettuce, [...]

Classic Nachos and a Full Rack of Baby Back Ribs from Chili’s

For dinner tonight we went to Chili’s in Hadley. The family started off dinner tonight with a “regular-sized” order of Classic Nachos.  My son demolished them.  Next time we’ll have to get a large order. For my meal, I ordered a full rack of baby back ribs with coleslaw and fries.  They didn’t offer me [...]

Patrick praises Route 2 work

RECORDER  |  Too often government focuses on the short-term, like the next election or the next news cycle, Gov. Deval Patrick told a crowd of local officials and sixth- graders gathered in Town Hall on Monday morning. But funding Route 2 safety improvements is an example of governing with an eye toward the future, he [...]

Sirloin Tips & Chicken Tenders and a Crock of Cheddar Broccoli Soup from the Ninety Nine

Dinner tonight was at the Ninety Nine.  Monday’s soup of the day is always Cheddar Broccoli, my favorite.  I ordered a crock.  The soup is great, but $4.49 is a bit steep considering you can get a can of it from the supermarket for around a buck. For the main course tonight I ordered Sirloin [...]
