In May 2011, Michael was elected to his second term as Town Meeting Member.

In November 2008, Michael was a Precinct 2 ballot counter for the Presidential Election.

In May 2008, Michael was elected to a 3-year term as a member of Town Meeting.

In December 2009, Michael launched Montague Matters to provide details of Town Meetings and other town-related information that’s not found elsewhere online.
